Tα πιστοποιητικά ισχύουν για 5 έτη και ανανεώνονται με εξετάσεις, πριν, ή μετά τη λήξη τους για άλλα 5 έτη.
Επέκταση του πιστοποιητικού, από τη μία κατηγορία στην άλλη μπορεί να γίνει, υπό την προϋπόθεση ότι ο υποψήφιος θα παρακολουθήσει το αντίστοιχο πρόγραμμα μαθημάτων και στη συνέχεια δώσει επιτυχείς εξετάσεις.
